Simulate Cloth

Postby truexjrrocks1 on Sun Jun 13, 2010 3:34 pm

I'm new to rendering and got 3Ds Max 2010 a couple days ago. I was watching Bloodtaker's cloth tutorial and I got it until the simulate part.
When I hit simulate it doesn't fold around the car it just sort of melted upon itself without touching the car. If anyone can help that would be appreciated.
Here's what happens when I simulate.... Any Ideas?

And as it gets to 100 it still looks like that.
I was using the Team Om3ga mental ray scene for cup10s mod and just playing around with it.

I would say, their model pieces separate nCloth use. Although it will be a lot of time compared to having a cloth-intersecting. I think I would just make the shirt. Normally clothyness pants aren't enough to really simulate. It is possible, but all the clothes will hard.Just go back in the last lesson in nCloth and you should be allowed.

This has nothing to do with clothes.

I think we can also say it is known as a limitation, and each point is a point mass. All restrictions are not controlled by the midpoint.
